Andrew Diaz
Andrew Diaz is a Latin American actor, born to Puerto Rican dad and Norwegian mom, J. Mark Diaz and Amy Catherine Diaz. From an early age, with his family's faith and encouragement, Andrew showed a unique interest, comfort and enthusiasm for working in front of the camera. Toward the end of 2018, the family would relocate to Hollywood, committed to supporting Andrew's passion for acting and his notable devotion to pursuing the craft.
Nurturing his organic strength of acting with instinct, J. Mark worked with his son as they secured management and agency representation for Andrew. It was mid-December, 2018. Following the industry's winter break, Andrew's first audition came early in January 2019 and with it, the young actor went all in. Andrew's father would be driver, home school teacher, acting coach and mentor. Andrew shows laser-focus with each step in the process, treating every audition as another opportunity to leave a lasting impression while he enjoys his art and attracts the roles meant for him to play.
In May 2019, Andrew officially launched. He accepted a leading role as one of a team of young superheroes in a Robert Rodriguez feature film. Andrew was off to Texas, filming all summer at Director Rodriguez's Troublemaker Studios. Andrew's debut film, We Can Be Heroes, directed by Robert Rodriguez, also delivers an impressive adult cast including Pedro Pascal, Christian Slater, Priyanka Chopra, Boyd Holbrook, Adriana Barraza, Christopher McDonald, Taylor Dooley, Sung Kang, Brently Heilbron, Jamie Perez, Haley Reinhart and several others strengthening the powerful group of young lead actors.
Andrew looks forward to continue sharing his gift doing what he loves: living multiple lives by giving voice to different characters and touching the souls of his audiences, one heart, one smile, one story at a time.
When he's not acting, Andrew has been spotted in the wild jigsaw puzzling with his mom, doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with his dad, pack leading in the SoCal mountains with his two German Shepherds or free-styling in one of his many other favorite activities like balling, bowling, biking, skateboarding, hover-boarding, playing Frisbee and sometimes flexing his online gaming skills.
