Janet L. Burns
Janet L. Burns was born and raised in New York. She completed the automotive technology program at Santa Barbara City College where she earned an A.A. degree. Janet's diverse background includes working as an ASE certified automotive technician, a graphic designer, and selling her own homemade soap.
Janet's most notable roles include a deeply troubled woman who will stop at nothing to keep her family together in the Investigation Discovery series, Murder Calls (2017); a no-nonsense but warm-hearted shop owner in the poignant drama Assorted (2016); and a tough, grieving grandmother in the gritty drama Bias (2018).
An adventurous traveler, Janet has sand-boarded Namibian dunes, canoed the Zambezi River, and skydived in central California. While living in Israel she frequented Jerusalem's old city and desert wadis. She recently restored a historic Victorian home in a coastal town in northern Wales. Janet lives near Savannah, Georgia with her human and three cats.

Having escaped from a cult as a child, a mother must face her past when its sinister members break into her home and attempt to steal her eight-year-old son, David. Now the two are on the run pursued by a detective determined to save them both. Since his aborted kidnapping something has changed in David and the boy has succumbed to a mysterious illness. Following her maternal instincts to save him, his mother commits unspeakable acts to keep him alive but is losing the battle. Soon, she has to decide how far she is willing to go to save her son.
