On February 18, 2022 director/writer Brian Skiba's action/thriller 'Pursuit' starring John Cusack will be released nationwide. The Arizona Filmmaker of the Year, continues his foray into the action genre, on the heels of his incredibly successful release The 2nd (September 2020) starring Ryan Phillippe, Casper van Dien, and Jack Griffo. The film captures Apple TV's #1 movie over the 2020 Labor Day weekend, in addition, the film was #1 Action Adventure and #1 Independent, and #1 on Netflix. Skiba graduated with a B.A. in English and a minor in Creative Writing from Arizona State University. Fulfilling his passion for storytelling and film, and immediately following his graduation, Brian directed his first feature film, Blood Moon Rising. Distributed by Entertainment One that film found great success, so much so, Brian was asked to direct an indie film called Dirty Little Trick that premiered domestically on Showtime.
In 2022 Brian agreed to direct two feature films, a gritty, hard hitting, horror/action film for Voltage Entertainment entitled The Challenge and a Biopic for Lionsgate based on the Golden State Killer. Skiba's favorite quote from the highly regarded Director, Alfred Hitchcock, is, "To make a great film, you need three things - the script, the script, and the script."
