Macarena Abad
Macarena Abad was born in Cordoba, Spain. She developed love for acting at an early age and pursued the craft at the age of 18 when she moved to Madrid. She enrolled at the Iñaki Aierra Studio of Acting, where she studied Stanislavski for three years, and simultaneously earned a Bachelor's degree in Audiovisual Communications at Universidad Villanueva, a branch of Universidad Complutense de Madrid, which offered her a summer internship at Aligned Entertainment in Los Angeles. Within a month from graduation, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting full time.
Macarena studied Meisner for three years at Playhouse West, Comedy with Jim Nieb at Playhouse West Comedy, followed by Upright Citizens Brigade, The Clown House with comedian Adam Barnhart, Action Acting with Stuart Wilson, and The Actors Comedy Studio. She also earned a Post-Graduate Diploma in Entertainment and Media Management at UC Riverside in association with The Los Angeles Film School.
Macarena performs Improv Comedy with her bilingual troupe all over Los Angeles including IO West, The Clubhouse, The Lyric Hyperion Theatre & Cafe, The Second City and UCB.
