Ava Grace Cooper is an award winning, young Canadian actress from Vancouver, B.C. Ava followed in her brother, Christian Michael Cooper's footsteps and started her acting career when she was five years old. Ava's breakout role was being cast in the Feature film, Edge of Seventeen, as the young Krista (Haley Lu Richardson). Shortly after, Ava was cast as her most known character to date, as Opal Weisse in the beloved Hallmark series, When Calls The Heart. Ava has had the pleasure to be a part of this series for the last seven seasons so far and has just completed filming of Season 9. Ava has had many opportunities to work on several Hallmark movies throughout the years such as A Summer Romance, starring Erin Krakow and Ryan Paevey, Mingle All The Way, A Midnight Kiss and Holiday Date. Ava was also part of the TV Series called Beyond for several seasons and has worked with some very talented cast along the way and had the pleasure of working on Miracle Season ( Helen Hunt, Erin Moriarty and William Hurt). At a young age, Ava has worked on various TV Series, Feature Films, Hallmark, streaming series, TV Movies and Independent Films. Ava and her brother, Christian Michael Cooper have had many opportunities to work on many of the same shows together such as When Calls The Heart, Beyond, Falling For Vermont and Supernatural but have yet to work as screen siblings yet. Ava has won numerous awards throughout the years, most notably for her role as Opal Weisse in When Calls The Heart. When Ava is not working on set, she is very active with her competitive dance. Some of her genres include Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet and also Musical Theatre. When Ava is not dancing, taking singing lessons or filming, she is enjoying time with her family and friends in the outdoors, either hiking, swimming, boating or skiing.
