Gurinder was born on 20 April 1970 in Sultanwind village of Amritsar, His father's name is S. Banta Singh mother's name is Smt.Parsin Caur and Gurinder Singh has 5 brothers namely Narinder Singh, Rajinder Singh, Tarjinder Singh, Davinder Singh and Barinder Singh. One Sister Parminder Caur. Gurinder completed his schooling from Sainik School Kapurthala, 10+1_2 From Government College Ludhiana.And completed his graduation from Punjabi University Patiala. Gurinder is an actor as well as a government employee in Revenue Deptt. in Punjab Govt. Gurinder has been associated with theater since 1989 and runs his own theatre. Gurinder's theater group is named SSAI Creations and is based in Amritsar. Gurinder has so far worked as an actor in dozens of Punjabi and Hindi films, including Munna Bhai MBBS, Sardar Udham, The Legend of Bhagat Singh, JI Janab, Sarpanchi Leni Hai, Doorbeen, Laung Laachi, Apne and Train To Pakistan. Gurinder has also worked as a writer in many films. Gurinder is a talented writer and actor as well as a good film and Theatre Director.Gurinder has successfully directed several documentary films. Gurinder is in limelight for his web series Cat, in which he plays a terrorist And Canada Don Bill. Gurinder says that for an artist every character is challenging. The real artist is the one who lives his character, if the audience sitting in front feels that he is acting, then you have flopped, so your character should be such that the audience sitting in front gets lost in it. Gurinder has been honored with many awards including Best Actor award in 1994 from Punjabi Academy, Delhi, Desh Seva Ratan Award from Ludhiana, Harbhajan Jabbal Award from Punjabi Sabha, Chowgawan and Best Director Award from Guru Teg Bahadur College for Women. ,Ptc Dffa viewers choice Best Actor, Amritsar has also been awarded. Gurinder tells that he has many more big projects which are running Zorawar with Trimurti Films with Super Director Rajiv Rai and will be in front of you very soon. The story of Love Punjab revolves around a family in which husband and wife fights daily for small reasons and their son is only victim of these fights. After suffering from all these things, their son gets depression. Then a psychiatrist suggests them to go to Punjab. Eventually, grasping for a solution, his father announces they are all going to Punjab to help the child understand his heritage and his homeland. However before their arrival, the boy's relatives in Punjab transform the village with a huge 'western' makeover, while still attempting to hold on to all that makes Punjab great. After spending time in Punjab, the child begins to love it. Meanwhile the parents find themselves getting emotionally involved like they had not in a long while. They leave Punjab with a heavy heart, and head to Canada where the mother is set to be engaged to her friend. But during the ceremony she realizes her love for her husband and runs off. The parents express their love for each other, and a year later they are shown to be a happy family, with their son and a new daughter.
