Luke Ford
The youngest son of Seventh Day Adventist evangelist Dr. Desmond Ford, Luke Ford moved with his parents to California in 1977. He graduated from Placer High School in Auburn, CA, in June 1984. He worked in the news department of KAHI/KHYL radio in Sacramento between 1982-87. He was bedridden by Chronic Fatigue Syndrome from 1988-94. He served as Placer County coordinator for Parents For Education Choice (a school vouchers initiative) in 1992. That same year, he converted to Judaism.
After failing to get much work as an actor, he decided in 1995 to write a book. "A History of X: 100 Years of Sex in Film" was published by Prometheus Books in June 1999. In the course of his research, he developed a widely read website, www.lukeford.com, and became known as "the Matt Drudge of porn."
To avoid the wrath of his religious community, Luke abandoned writing on porn in August of 2001 and sold his website lukeford.com. At the same time, he started a book about movie and television producers. His new Hollywood site is www.lukeisback.com. Ford also operates a website about Dennis Prager as part of an unauthorized biography in progress.
