Firdaus Hassan is an Indian actor known for his notable contributions tothe Bollywood film industry and theater. Born in Sherghati, a small town in the Gaya district of Bihar, India, he hails from a humble family background. His father, a teacher, eventually retired as the principal of the high school Firdaus attended up to the 10th grade. He is the sixth child among thirteen siblings. Hassan's journey led him to Mumbai, where he spent the majority of his life. His academic pursuits included obtaining a B.A. (Honors) degree in Japanese language from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in New Delhi. Utilizing his language skills, he embarked on a career as a Japanese language interpreter. With a passion for the performing arts, Firdaus Hassan engaged in theater, training with the Jan Natya Manch Safdar Hashmi theatre group in New Delhi. During his time at JNU, he achieved a significant milestone by securing his first Bollywood role in the movie "Lakshya," directed by Farhan Akhtar, and starring Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta, and Amitabh Bachchan. This marked the beginning of his journey into the Indian film industry. His acting prowess further flourished as he became a part of various notable projects. He featured in Yash Chopra's "Veer-Zaara," Anurag Kashyap's "Mukkabaaz," and Rajkumar Hirani's "Sanju." He also contributed to the web series realm with appearances in Kabir Khan's "The Forgotten Army" on Amazon Prime, Apurva Lakhia's "Crackdown" on Jio Cinema, and "Noise of Silence" on platforms like Max Player and YouTube, where he portrayed lead roles. Firdaus Hassan's upcoming ventures continue to underline his commitment to his craft. He is set to star in the Hotstar web series "Akhri Sach," directed by Robbie Grewal, alongside Tamanna Bhatia. Additionally, he will play the lead role in the movie "Ishkaniya." Beyond his artistic pursuits, Firdaus Hassan is an avid traveler and places great emphasis on maintaining his fitness. His journey to becoming an actor led him to Delhi initially, with aspirations of joining the National School of Drama (NSD).
