Shanker Raman
Shanker is an Indian filmmaker and cinematographer who is widely recognized for directing and co-writing the Neo-noir Thriller, Gurgaon. A veteran cinematographer, he has worked with several reputed filmmakers such as Anurag Kashyap, Navdeep Singh, Anusha Rizvi, etc. on movies like Mukkabaaz, Laal Kaptaan, and Peepli (Live). He won awards at Asian Film Awards and Durban International Film Festival for his work on Frozen, a feature film directed by Shivajee Chandrabhushan for which Shanker wrote the screenplay. He co-produced and co-wrote the screenplay for Harud, a film directed by Aamir Bashir which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Urdu. He also directed several episodes for Leila, a dystopian sci-fi drama original series for Netflix. He is wrapping post-production for his next feature Love Hostel, a feature film is co-produced by Drishyam and Red Chillies.
