Deirdre McCourt

Deirdre McCourt

Deirdre McCourt's strength and versatility as an actress has been compared to Kristen Wiig and Jennifer Lawrence. Deirdre brings a dark humor to her comedy and a grounded, extensive emotion to her drama. Deirdre has worked in both theatre and film in LA. Her recent credits include starring in the dark feature comedy "SORRY FOR YOUR BIRTHDAY" and the series "BEANTOWN LOCKDOWN". On stage she starred as Marianne in the two-hander romantic drama "CONSTELLATIONS", written by Nick Payne that originally premiered at the Royal Court Theatre in London. She also starred as Christine in the one-person stage comedy "APPLICATION PENDING" written by Andy Sandberg and Greg Edwards; a comedy about the hilariously cutthroat world of kindergarten admissions at a New York private school. Deirdre portrayed a rookie admissions officer and over forty other roles, including all the wild personalities that she has to deal with on her first day on the job. Deirdre is based in Los Angeles and originally from Boston. After completing her BA in the theater arts conservatory at Boston College, she honed her comedic chops at Second City in Chicago, and Groundlings in LA, both level 3. She's trained extensively under Lisa Robertson, protégé of Larry Moss, and has done numerous commercials for brands including Dixie, E! Network, and FedEx.
